After I had set up my "remotelab" (at the time simply called homelab), the itch did not stop; it only got worse.
I wanted to add more services, but some of them were just not convenient in a VPS, especially if a lot of storage was necessary, since increasing storage on a VPS means a higher monthly payment, not to mention services that required (or worked better) being directly in my home network.
After migrating my project to a new shiny server, I was left with a smaller spare box. Since I still had some experiments running in it, I decided to keep it as my own personal playground. As I kept tinkering with it, I started going deeper into the self-hosting rabbit hole.
I have been getting a bit too involved in self-hosting. I've been doing it for years, but in the last couple of months I started structuring it more seriously and following the self-hosted community more closely.
My blog is now on its own standalone site! It was previously under https://docs.galarzaa.com/blog, but now it gets its own place: https://blog.galarzaa.com. It’s also now featured on my personal site.
